My life as an artist

The Rose

16" by 20" Acrylic on paper

Believe it or not, some people have actually told me that they like the way I draw or the things that I write. They tell me that they didn't know I was an artist or a writer. When they say that it makes me cringe because I don't consider myself to be an artist or a writer. I see myself as a regular guy who likes to draw and write. When people call me an artist or a writer I feel like I'm a sham and I'm faking my way through the pictures and stories.

Anyone who puts their thoughts down into a written, or drawn, form is a writer and an artist. You are no exception.

The way your pencil moves across your canvas is amazing. I wish I could draw half as good as you can. My stick figures look more like candy canes with giant bubbles on top.

BTW, I like the way the blog is looking. I like the color change, but I am a bit biased because blue is my favorite color.

hey, you're becoming a good friend man. Thanks for the compliments. The crazy thing is that I was trying to draw candy canes with giant bubbles on top when I did this one.

I like it better blue too - it seems more "cooler"
