The Zen of Tina Turner

I had a strange dream last night...

In my dream I was sleeping on the floor when I saw someone slowly walking into my bedroom, thinking that it was a thief I jumped on the bed, grabbed the sheet, flew through the air doing a ninja flip in mid air, and then I threw a sheet over the intruder. The thief started to thrash and jump around the room trying to throw me off, but I held on tight - it was like riding a bull in the rodeo (not that I've done that, but it's what I imagine it would feel like) I wrestled the person to the ground and then unwrapped the sheet slowly so I could see the thief’s face. When I opened the sheet I was looking right into Tina Turner's face.

I couldn’t believe it. I had Tina Turner wrapped up in my Star Wars sheets and she was looking pretty hot for a 70 year old or how ever old she is. I didn’t know what to say so I asked her the only thing that came to mind. I asked her how she stayed so young looking and she said "I learned a long time ago not to let negative people affect me. People can say whatever they want about me, but I just let it roll off me. If people want to be negative that's their pain clinic not mine." (I wrote that down as soon as I woke up so that I could write it in here).

I said, "That's interesting Tina Turner"

She looked at me and then yelled, "Will you get the hell off me now!"

The next thing that happened in my dream is that Tina Turner lit red candles on the night stand and taught me how to meditate, then she started to chant "nam myoho renge kyo" which kind of freaked me out at first, but then helped me get centered and one with the universe. After we were both centered and one with the universe, I pulled out a spiral notebook that had songs I had written and then started singing for Tina Turner. I guess I must have thought this could be my big break - I mean I can sing "Rooooolllllinggg on the river!" just as well as anyone else can. She looked at me, made a disgusted face, covered her ears and then ran out of my house screaming. I remember watching her run because her muscular legs were pumping hard and her hair was flying all over the place behind her as her head shook from side to side.

I guess this means I should lay off the snacks before going to bed. Just for the record, I had been talking to a friend about the movie "What's Love got to Do With It" a couple of nights ago and singing my rendition of "rolling on the river" - it's not that I have some weird fascination with Tina Turner - at least I don't think I do... Hummmm
