Conversations at the mall...

I was in the mall when I saw two young ladies walking with five kids. They were walking in one direction and mall security was walking in the other direction. The thing that struck me about this was the conversation two of the kids were having. The kids were about five or six years old:

Kid 1: Be quiet, here comes the police
Kid 2: I don't like the police 'cause they took my daddy away.
Kid 1: They took my daddy away too.
Kid 2: When I grow up I'm gonna get a gun and shoot them.
Kid 1: Yeah, me too.

The two young mothers laughed and kept walking as if it weren't a big deal.

Am I the only one that feels just a little bit bothered by this?
